Monarch’s decision follows emotional video featuring Archie and Lilibet
King Charles III has announced that his beloved Sandringham Estate will open to the public next month, coinciding with renewed speculation about a possible reconciliation between the royal family and the Sussexes.
The 76-year-old monarch revealed that visitors will have access to eight ground-floor rooms and the estate’s sprawling 60-acre gardens from 5 April to 10 October.
The announcement comes shortly after Meghan Markle released a touching video featuring King Charles’ grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, sparking fresh discussions about their relationship with the royal family.
Sandringham, a cherished royal residence in Norfolk, has remained largely unchanged since Edwardian times. Built in 1870, it has long been a key royal retreat, serving as the setting for family Christmas gatherings and Queen Elizabeth II’s first televised Christmas speech in 1957.
King Charles recently provided a rare glimpse inside Sandringham’s Saloon as he welcomed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
Meanwhile, the monarch has also thrilled fans with a separate announcement—revealing The King’s Music Room at Buckingham Palace as part of an Apple Music collaboration.
Reflecting on the power of music, he shared:
"Throughout my life, music has meant a great deal to me. It has the remarkable ability to bring happy memories flooding back, to comfort us in sadness, and to transport us to distant places."
"Above all, it can lift our spirits, especially when it brings us together in celebration. In other words, it brings us joy."
As discussions around a possible royal reunion continue, the King’s latest decisions signal a renewed focus on tradition, public engagement, and personal reflection.
