Thomas Markle Makes Harsh Claims About Duchess’ On-Screen Presence
Meghan Markle has been dealt a new emotional blow as her father, Thomas Markle, made critical remarks about her Netflix series, With Love, Meghan.
Speaking to The Mail, Thomas accused the Duchess of Sussex of being inauthentic, claiming she was overly rehearsed and not spontaneous in front of the camera.
“Unfortunately, Meghan has never been authentic. She has to think about everything. She's not spontaneous,” he stated. “I know all her looks and expressions. I can tell when she’s faking it for the cameras.”
Thomas went on to suggest that Meghan’s desire for perfection made her appear tense on screen, adding, “She’s trying so hard to be perfect that she tenses up every time the camera is on her.”
Despite his sharp criticism, he admitted he might eventually watch the series but remained unsure about it.
The remarks have reportedly left Meghan hurt, casting a shadow over the release of her latest project. The Duchess has been estranged from her father for years, and his latest comments add to their already strained relationship.
