Former Royal Aide Reiterates Bullying Allegations in TV Interview
Meghan Markle is facing renewed controversy after a close associate of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex publicly stood by his past allegations against her. This development coincides with an announcement from Buckingham Palace regarding King Charles III.
Jason Knauf, a former royal aide who worked closely with Harry and Meghan, reaffirmed his 2018 bullying claims against the Duchess of Sussex in his first television interview with 60 Minutes Australia. Knauf stated that he has "no regrets" about his previous accusations, adding, "I wouldn’t change anything."
Discussing his time working with the Sussexes, Knauf described their 2018 royal wedding as a "magical experience" but insisted that dealing with public scrutiny was part of the role. He remarked, "You can't just take the fun stuff in any job—that applies to the prince and princess too."
Despite Knauf’s statements, Meghan has consistently denied the allegations, calling them a "calculated smear campaign." The claims originated from an internal 2018 email Knauf sent, in which he raised concerns about her alleged treatment of Palace staff. The email alleged that Meghan had "bullied two PAs out of the household" and was "undermining" another staff member’s confidence.
The latest resurfacing of these claims has intensified public debate, adding to the ongoing scrutiny surrounding the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
