Duchess criticised for repeated filing errors amid Harry’s visa controversy
Meghan Markle has landed in hot water once again after failing to sign a crucial document in her As Ever trademark application, raising concerns over her adherence to US patent regulations.
Royal expert Richard Eden, writing for the Daily Mail, revealed that the US Trademark Office has requested the Duchess of Sussex to clarify specific details in her filing, including categorising items like “spoons serving jams and fruit preserves” under the correct international classification. However, without her signature, the document remains unverifiable.
This is not the first time Meghan has faced trademark issues—she reportedly made similar mistakes while attempting to register her defunct lifestyle blog The Tig and the short-lived Archetypes podcast.
Meanwhile, her new lifestyle and cookery series has drawn mockery, with critics joking it caters to those who “need a recipe to make an ice cube.”
The controversy comes as scrutiny around Harry’s visa records intensifies, adding further challenges to the couple’s public image.
