Meghan Markle is facing mounting pressure as she prepares for the release of her Netflix cookery show and the official launch of her rebranded lifestyle venture, both of which could define her future success.

The Duchess of Sussex initially introduced her brand as American Riviera Orchard but was forced to rename it ‘As Ever’ due to trademark complications in late 2024. She announced the change in a casual Instagram video filmed at her Montecito mansion, but similar brands quickly emerged, raising concerns over the identity and impact of her new venture.

Her cookery show, already postponed by two weeks, was expected to coincide with the launch of As Ever. However, industry insiders are growing sceptical, criticising Meghan for repeatedly “teasing” the public without delivering concrete results.

A source cited by InTouch Weekly suggested the rebrand appears rushed, with some seeing it as an act of desperation. “As Ever must succeed, and the Netflix show has got to click with viewers,” the insider stated. “It’s sink or swim time.”

With Netflix’s involvement adding further pressure, Meghan has little room for missteps. Following her fallout with Spotify and previous underwhelming projects, speculation is growing about whether she can finally establish a thriving brand. While Harry has solidified his role through the Invictus Games, the success of As Ever remains uncertain.
