TV host criticizes Netflix series, branding it a ‘vanity project’
Meghan Markle’s new Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, has received a scathing review from Piers Morgan, who dismissed the show as “unwatchable” and “a vanity project.”
Speaking on an upcoming episode of Piers Morgan Uncensored, the outspoken broadcaster shared his blunt assessment of the Duchess of Sussex’s latest venture.
"I tried watching it, and after, honestly, about three, four minutes, I was done," Morgan said. "It was just unwatchable. It's the ultimate kind of vanity project, where it's all about people telling Meghan how great she is, her telling everyone how great she is."
Mocking the show’s content, he added, "It's not even her house. She’s making coffee, baking a basic cake. There’s nothing to actually learn here."
Morgan also took aim at Meghan and Harry’s declining popularity, claiming they are “the most unpopular royals” in Britain, even compared to Prince Andrew.
"It’s extraordinary to go under that bar," he remarked, before suggesting that Americans are equally uninterested. "Most Americans aren’t even energized enough to be angry. They’re just like, ‘Who cares about these idiots?’"
The broadcaster also reacted to the viral moment where Meghan corrected actress Mindy Kaling for referring to her as “Meghan Markle”, insisting, "You know I’m Sussex now."
Morgan, a Sussex native himself, dismissed the claim.
"I come from Sussex, I was educated there, I have a home there. I’ve spent more time in Sussex this week than she has in her entire lifetime. She’s not a Sussex. She’s a Windsor."
His remarks add to the polarising reception of With Love, Meghan, which debuted on March 4, offering a glimpse into the Duchess’s love for cooking, entertaining, and family life.
