Talent Agency Denies Reports of Split as Insiders Fuel Speculation
Hollywood is abuzz with claims that Meghan Markle has been dropped by top talent agency WME, with sources suggesting she was deemed “too demanding” and “difficult to work with.”
According to Page Six, multiple insiders allege that WME quietly severed ties with the Duchess of Sussex. However, the agency refutes the reports, stating, “WME continues to represent Meghan and Archewell.”
Despite WME’s official stance, speculation persists, as Markle, 43, reportedly hasn’t met with agency head Ari Emanuel since January 2023. While she has remained in touch with her day-to-day team, sources claim a heated exchange in early 2024 may have strained relations.
“She demanded a meeting and expected decks and plans,” an insider revealed, though it remains unclear whether this was for herself or Archewell. The dispute allegedly led Emanuel to step back.
Markle signed with WME in April 2023, with high-profile agents Brad Slater and Jill Smoller—who also represent Dwayne Johnson and Serena Williams—managing her career. Some sources now suggest the agency is only involved in select Archewell projects rather than her personal ventures.
The speculation comes at a critical moment, as Markle prepares to launch her Netflix lifestyle series, With Love, Meghan, next week.
