Prince Harry Faces New Challenge as U.S. Immigration Records Set for Release

Duke of Sussex’s visa documents to be made public amid ongoing lawsuit

Harry is facing renewed scrutiny as the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) prepares to release parts of his immigration records amid an ongoing legal battle.

According to The New York Post, federal Judge Carl Nichols has ordered the agency to provide a redacted version of Harry’s file for court review, with the ultimate goal of making portions of the records public. The move follows a lawsuit filed by The Heritage Foundation, which seeks to determine whether Harry disclosed his past drug use on his immigration application.

The DHS has stated in a court filing that it will release "items 1-3" of Harry’s records with redactions but will withhold "item 4," though it remains unclear what details will be included in the disclosed documents.

Judge Nichols previously ruled that the records should be released "in stages" to avoid violating U.S. privacy laws. The department has until March 6 to submit the redacted version for judicial review.

"Transparency is important when it comes to how immigration cases are handled," said Nile Gardiner, weighing in on the controversy.

This latest legal development comes shortly after Harry’s successful appearance at the 2025 Invictus Games in Canada, marking yet another challenge for the Duke of Sussex on the international stage.
