Duke’s exit from Sentebale seen as his most difficult move in years, coinciding with Meghan Markle’s professional setbacks
Prince Harry has officially resigned from Sentebale, the charity he co-founded in 2006 with Prince Seeiso of Lesotho, in what insiders are calling one of the most emotionally challenging decisions he has made in recent years.
His departure comes on the heels of a major leadership dispute within the organisation. The Duke of Sussex, along with the board of trustees, chose to step down following escalating tensions with Sentebale’s chair, Dr. Sophie Chandauka. Dr. Chandauka reportedly raised serious concerns about internal governance, including allegations of discrimination and abuse of power.
These issues have prompted the Charity Commission to open a formal investigation into Sentebale’s management and operations.
