Kensington Palace Releases Statement as Prince of Wales Resumes Royal Duties
Prince William has stepped into the spotlight with a significant public engagement following King Charles III’s latest move.
The Prince of Wales made his first appearance since Meghan Markle’s remarks on her royal title, visiting the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading on Wednesday. As patron of NHS Charities Together, William’s visit focused on the lasting impact of charitable contributions on healthcare services since the COVID-19 pandemic.
Kensington Palace released images of the engagement along with a statement: “A poignant visit to Royal Berkshire Hospital to see firsthand the lasting impact of @NHSCharities support over the past five years, since the start of the COVID pandemic.”
The visit underscored the importance of NHS Charities Together, which launched an emergency appeal in 2020 to support frontline healthcare workers.
William’s outing came shortly after Meghan Markle’s new Netflix series premiered and amid heightened speculation surrounding the royal family following recent statements and public appearances.
