Prince William to Appear on TV with Meghan Markle Critic Jeremy Clarkson

Future King’s surprise collaboration sparks fresh controversy amid royal tensions

Prince William is set to make a high-profile appearance on Jeremy Clarkson’s Amazon Prime series Clarkson’s Farm, a move that has raised eyebrows due to Clarkson’s past scathing remarks about Meghan Markle.

The Prince of Wales was recently followed by the show’s camera crew during a visit to Folly Farm in Chew Valley, where he engaged with 60 young farming tenants as part of a Duchy of Cornwall initiative promoting mental health support in agriculture. He was also named Patron of We Are Farming Minds, a mental health charity backed by the Duchy.

William’s involvement with the programme comes as a surprise given Clarkson’s previous public criticism of Meghan Markle. In a 2022 column and online post, Clarkson made deeply offensive remarks about the Duchess, drawing widespread backlash and public condemnation.

The episode will also feature Clarkson’s co-stars Caleb Cooper and Charlie Ireland, both of whom met William during the event.

While the focus of the Prince’s visit was on mental health awareness and the future of farming, his alignment with Clarkson has prompted speculation about underlying royal tensions, particularly in light of his strained relationship with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
