Jason Knauf Sheds Light on William’s Private Life and Royal Approach
Prince William’s former aide, Jason Knauf, has offered never-before-shared insights into the future king during a candid interview with 60 Minutes Australia.
Knauf, who remains closely connected to William in a different capacity, previously served as the royal’s chief of communications. He now plays a key role as a trustee for the Prince of Wales’ Earthshot Prize.
In the interview, Knauf provided rare perspectives on William’s character, parenting style, and his stance on the ongoing rift with his brother, Prince Harry.
“Jason was there for the biggest moments in William’s life,” a source told InTouch Weekly. “Very few people can speak from firsthand knowledge about what kind of father he is, why he really won’t talk about Harry, or how he’ll rule as king.”
Addressing William’s strained relationship with Harry, Knauf acknowledged the challenges but emphasised the prince’s commitment to privacy. “It’s very difficult to have this stuff play out in the public eye, but [William’s] chosen to keep his thoughts on it private,” he stated, adding that those who know him would “respect” his decision.
Knauf also admitted that the situation has been “hard and sad,” particularly for those who know both brothers personally, offering a rare glimpse into the emotional toll of their long-standing feud.
