Queen Camilla Marks Historic Literary Milestone Following Prince Harry’s Charity Exit

Royal family shares video of Queen’s visit to Dickens Museum hours after Duke of Sussex steps down from Sentebale

Queen Camilla marked a significant cultural occasion with a visit to the Charles Dickens Museum in London, celebrating 100 years since the historic house first opened to the public in 1925.

The royal family shared a video of the event on social media, accompanied by the message: “Celebrating 100 years since the opening of @DickensMuseum!”

The Palace noted that the museum holds the world’s most extensive collection of Charles Dickens material, boasting over 100,000 items. During her visit, Queen Camilla enjoyed dramatic readings of the author’s letters by museum patrons Miriam Margolyes and Simon Callow.

The celebration coincided with Prince Harry’s announcement that he is stepping down as patron of Sentebale, the charity he co-founded with Prince Seeiso to support children affected by HIV and AIDS. His departure marks a significant turning point for the organisation, which now faces a leadership shift amid ongoing internal challenges.
