Despite anticipation surrounding Meghan Markle’s latest Netflix venture, royal insiders reportedly remain indifferent to the series.
According to royal correspondent Rebecca English, the royal family has shown little interest in the eight-part lifestyle series released on Tuesday. Speaking on DailyMail’s Palace Confidential podcast, English revealed that palace sources were largely unbothered, with one even questioning its release date.
While some may watch out of curiosity, English noted that most in the royal household see the series as irrelevant to them. She emphasised that as long as Meghan does not explicitly leverage her royal ties for commercial gain, the palace has no objections to her projects.
English, joined by commentators Richard Eden and Jo Elvin, agreed that the royal family’s main concern would be any overt attempt to capitalise on royal status. However, in the absence of such efforts, they reportedly remain unconcerned about Meghan’s latest media move.
