Sarah Ferguson has shared an emotional message as her daughter, Princess Eugenie, grieves the loss of her close friend, Michelle Trachtenberg.
Taking to Instagram, the Duchess of York posted a video from a significant event where she spoke about her cancer journey and its impact on mental health. In her message, she reflected on the importance of raising awareness and supporting meaningful causes.
"I had the pleasure of speaking at the Imperial Valve Cardiovascular Course alongside Professor Ramzi Khamis and Dr. Ghada Mikhail, which provided a valuable opportunity to share my journey and the causes that are close to my heart," Sarah wrote.
During her speech, the Duchess also highlighted the work of her charitable foundation, @sarahs_trust_, which focuses on providing education for children in "war-torn and forgotten countries." She further mentioned the trust’s NHS Covid response programme, which has helped frontline workers by delivering over "150,000 essential and luxury items to hospitals, care communities, and hospices across more than 80 locations."
Reflecting on personal moments, Sarah spoke about her newborn granddaughter and how her arrival reinforced the importance of making a positive impact. She also shared insights into her own battle with cancer, hoping her story would inspire others to face their challenges with resilience.
"It was a day of honest conversations, and I hope that the stories shared inspire others to face challenges with courage and make a positive impact," she concluded.
Her message follows Eugenie’s recent expression of sadness over the sudden passing of her long-time friend, marking a difficult time for the royal family.
