The King's heartfelt reaction reflects deep bonds within the Royal Family
Following Queen Elizabeth's death on 8 September 2022, King Charles and Prince William have seen substantial shifts in their royal responsibilities.
Charles ascended the throne, prompting William to assume his father's former role as Prince of Wales, a position carrying immense responsibilities, including managing the extensive Duchy of Cornwall estate.
King Charles had overseen the Duchy for over 50 years, and during the ITV documentary Prince Charles: Inside the Duchy of Cornwall, he revealed an emotional moment sparked by William's reflections about his future role. William expressed, "I have started to think about how I will inherit the Duchy one day and what I do with it. It's really important, the family angle."
Charles admitted being profoundly touched by William's words, saying, "I was deeply moved by what he said. It reduced me to tears."
William, now Duke of Cornwall, has embraced his new responsibilities, incorporating his vision while respecting and preserving his father's legacy.
