King Charles Holds Key Meeting as Prince Harry’s Explosive Claims Spark Palace Concern

Monarch faces fresh pressure after Duke accuses royals of using security as a control tactic

King Charles III has reportedly convened a crucial meeting at Buckingham Palace following Prince Harry’s latest bombshell claims regarding his security and royal exit.

The Duke of Sussex, who lost government-funded protection after stepping down from royal duties in 2020, has suggested that the decision was part of a deliberate attempt to pressure him and Meghan Markle into remaining within the royal fold.

In a recent interview with The Telegraph, Harry said, “My worst fears have been confirmed by the whole legal disclosure in this case. And that’s really sad.” He claimed the removal of his security was not merely procedural, but an intentional move to discourage his and Meghan’s departure from royal life.

A palace insider revealed that King Charles, having just returned from a successful four-day state visit to Italy, held an important meeting to discuss matters concerning both the monarchy and national interests. “The King loves his son and cannot bear to see any family member in trouble,” the source said. “But he’s also aware of his role and duty — and takes every step to protect the family.”

Despite Harry’s belief that only his father can resolve the dispute, palace sources maintain it would be “totally inappropriate” for the King to intervene in an ongoing legal matter. The monarch’s private secretary, Sir Clive Alderton, is a member of the Royal and VIP Executive Committee (Ravec), the body at the centre of Harry’s legal case.

Meanwhile, royal expert Kinsey Schofield told Fox News that Charles’s refusal to meet Harry during his recent UK visit was intentional. “My palace source said it was never a realistic option. The royal family simply cannot trust him today,” she said, noting fears that private conversations could later be used in court.

As tensions escalate, Harry’s claims continue to dominate headlines — leaving the Palace navigating a delicate balance between public duty and personal strain within the royal family.
