Meghan Markle Accused of Chasing Fame Without Focus: Expert Claims She’s Trying to Be Beyoncé or Michelle Obama

Tina Brown criticises Duchess for lacking follow-through and ignoring expert advice

Meghan Markle is facing fresh criticism from royal biographer Tina Brown, who claims the Duchess of Sussex is attempting to mirror the fame and influence of Beyoncé and Michelle Obama — but without the substance or structure to sustain it.

Speaking on the Mixed Signals podcast, Brown accused Meghan of being “a sort of instant Beyoncé or instant Michelle Obama,” describing her flurry of ventures — including a podcast, Netflix series, lifestyle brand, and influencer-like ShopMy page — as “enormously shallow.”

“She is so ADD,” Brown said. “She just never stops making announcements and never really follows through. Do it really well, and then do something else.”

The Diana Chronicles author didn’t hold back, suggesting Meghan lacks the confidence and experience that underpin the success of globally respected figures. “She’s devoid of self-confidence,” Brown remarked. “She doesn’t have the background that has built those people.”

Brown further criticised Meghan for allegedly refusing valuable advice from seasoned professionals. “She’s had a lot of good people willing to give advice… and then she doesn’t do it, and does something else,” she said, calling the Duchess “unadvisable.”

“She is the major adviser to Harry… He only takes hers,” Brown added. “That’s not a very good combination really for either of them.”

Despite the scathing assessment, Meghan’s brand continues to make headlines. Her As Ever clothing collection sold out within an hour, and her Netflix docuseries With Love, Meghan has already been renewed for a second season.
