Meghan Markle offered a heartwarming glimpse into her life as a mother during the TIME100 Summit in New York City on Wednesday, sharing a rare update on her and Prince Harry's children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Speaking with TIME CEO Jessica Sibley, the Duchess of Sussex beamed as she revealed, "The children are healthy and happy," before adding a sweet detail about her son: "Archie is going to lose his first tooth this week, and I hope to make it home in time for it!"
Her comments came just hours after Kensington Palace released a charming new birthday portrait and video of Prince Louis to mark his seventh birthday, capturing the young royal’s toothy smile as he posed outdoors.
While Prince William and Catherine’s tribute to Louis was widely shared by the royal family, King Charles and the Palace have yet to publicly acknowledge any birthday milestones for Archie or Lilibet—despite their royal titles.
Meghan also addressed why she avoids filming shows inside their Montecito home, saying, “My kids are coming home for their nap,” adding humorously, “Eighty people in the kitchen isn't really the childhood memory I would love for them to have.”
