King Charles includes disgraced brother while William opts for distance amid family tensions
Prince Andrew made a surprising appearance at the Royal Family’s Easter Sunday service at St George’s Chapel in Windsor, joining King Charles and Queen Camilla despite lingering controversy surrounding his public role.
The 65-year-old arrived with a smile, accompanied by his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, Princess Anne, and Sir Tim Laurence. Although Andrew withdrew from royal duties over five years ago, King Charles has continued to include him in key family occasions.
Behind the scenes, however, tensions remain—particularly with Prince William. According to insiders, the Prince of Wales intentionally spent the holiday in Norfolk with Catherine and their children, following a recent ski trip.
“William has no time for his uncle,” one royal source stated. “He’d much rather avoid him altogether.”
While the absence of the Prince of Wales highlighted ongoing rifts, the royal gathering proceeded with tradition and pageantry. King Charles and Queen Camilla smiled warmly as they greeted the public. The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh were seen walking to the chapel with their son, James, while their daughters and their husbands added to the formal occasion.
