Tina Brown criticises Sussexes’ career moves and claims Harry “misses being a prince”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have come under fresh criticism for what a royal expert describes as a string of "disastrous" decisions in their pursuit of financial independence.
Tina Brown, a friend of Princess Diana and author of The Palace Papers and The Diana Chronicles, heavily criticised the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in a new interview with The Daily Telegraph. Brown singled out Meghan’s TV show With Love, Meghan, saying the former actress “looks ridiculous,” while claiming Harry now appears like a “disaster tourist” when attending humanitarian crises.
Brown suggested that Harry deeply regrets leaving royal life, remarking, "He really misses being a prince because he was good at it.” She continued, "He thought palace life was boring and oppressive, but now he realises he was naturally suited to the role."
Reflecting on Harry’s role within the monarchy, Brown stated: "There is still a Harry-shaped hole in the Royal Family, but I don't think that hole's going to close. It's a pity, because that's all they lack — that bit of sizzle coming out."
Brown also criticised Harry and Meghan’s public moves, including the infamous Oprah Winfrey interview, calling it "the most gratuitously stupid move," and suggested their pursuit of financial opportunities has damaged their credibility.
Despite Harry reportedly being willing to reconcile, Brown concluded that the relationship between Harry and Prince William appears “very hard to repair,” with William unlikely to forgive easily.
