Meghan shares joyful family update after Harry’s meaningful return from Lviv
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been honoured with a heartfelt message from Ukraine’s Minister of Economy, Yulia Svyrydenko, recognising their humanitarian efforts—just as the royal family prepares for a symbolic reunion on VE Day.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were praised for using their influence to bring global attention to humanitarian demining in Ukraine. Svyrydenko described the couple as “the kindest people” for their ongoing support during a time of crisis.
“Your Royal Highness, I would like to express my sincere gratitude for everything your family is doing for Ukraine,” she wrote. “Demining will allow millions of displaced Ukrainians to return home, and allow thousands of children to go to school without fear. This means so very much to all of us.”
The message followed Prince Harry’s April 10 visit to the Superhumans Center in Lviv, which came shortly after his two-day court hearing in the UK over his security arrangements. During the visit, he received a traditional Easter bread, made by women in Ukraine’s mine-affected Sumy region using flour harvested from demined fields.
Upon returning to California, Meghan shared a heartwarming video on Instagram showing Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet enjoying the symbolic cake their father brought home. The gesture was deeply appreciated by the women who had prepared the offering.
“They are deeply moved, knowing that this Easter bread will be on your table,” Svyrydenko added.
This emotional exchange comes ahead of King Charles’s planned royal reunion in May, where he hopes to present a united front in honour of Britain’s war dead during VE Day. Amid recent health challenges, the King is reportedly committed to restoring a sense of family unity and national togetherness—making Harry and Meghan’s recognition for kindness and goodwill all the more timely.
