Duke of Sussex hopes to reconcile with father despite being shut out by Prince William and Queen Camilla
Prince Harry is reportedly preparing to make a bold move to reunite with King Charles, despite being left in the dark about the monarch’s recent hospitalisation — and facing strong opposition from both Prince William and Queen Camilla.
The Duke of Sussex was said to be deeply hurt after learning through the media that his father had been hospitalised due to side effects from cancer treatment. Although he was informed directly about the King’s diagnosis earlier this year, Harry was not notified of this latest development, leaving him feeling further alienated from the royal fold.
According to Heat Magazine, Harry remains determined to repair their relationship. A source revealed, “Knowing his dad was so bad he had to be hospitalised is incredibly worrying for Harry. He’s beside himself and panicking that things will take a turn for the worse before they can make peace.”
Despite the cold reception, the insider claimed Harry is contemplating an unannounced trip to the UK, believing an in-person visit might be the only way forward. “He feels like his only option is to get over there in person and push his way in.”
However, the road to reconciliation may not be smooth. Prince William and Queen Camilla are reportedly opposed to the idea, fearing it could add further stress for the King. “They’re trying to protect Charles from any more upheaval,” the source added.
Harry, who last met with his father for a brief 30-minute visit after the cancer diagnosis, is now hoping that a more meaningful reunion can happen — but with the family still holding onto past grievances, it remains uncertain whether his gesture will be welcomed.
