Duke of Sussex Reportedly Eager to Reunite with Ailing Father Despite Royal Rift
Prince Harry is said to be eager to travel back to the UK to see King Charles, following growing concern over the monarch’s health. Despite tensions with the royal household, the Duke of Sussex reportedly remains emotionally invested in his father and family.
Harry allegedly found out about the King’s recent brief hospitalisation through the media, as Buckingham Palace did not inform him directly. The pair last met in early 2024 after King Charles was diagnosed with cancer, and the Duke is believed to be feeling increasingly isolated from royal communication.
According to a source close to Harry, “He’s still the King’s younger son. He cares deeply for his dad and is genuinely worried about his health.” The insider added, “He wouldn’t think twice about flying to the UK if the Palace reached out.”
Speculation continues to swirl about a potential reunion, but insiders claim Harry is facing emotional distance from both sides of the Atlantic. A separate source told The Sun, “He misses his family terribly, but no one is really talking to him anymore. He just wants normal moments—like grabbing a beer—but now his only friends are Meghan’s friends’ husbands.”
One royal observer noted, “He once played second to William. Now, it seems he’s playing second to Meghan—and it’s not a good look.”
Reports suggest the Palace may have withheld the latest health update to avoid alarming Harry while he remains 5,000 miles away in California.
