Royal couple revisit long-delayed project following personal challenges
Prince William and Catherine are once again moving forward with plans to renovate their family home in Windsor, marking a significant decision after a period of major life changes.
Since relocating from Kensington Palace to Adelaide Cottage in 2022, the Prince and Princess of Wales have settled into the four-bedroom residence with their children. Though the cottage, built in 1831, has undergone several upgrades, it remains modest by royal standards.
Now, the couple is looking to revive plans to transform a previously uninhabitable outhouse on the property into an annexe-style addition to provide extra space, according to The Mirror.
The idea had been under consideration for some time, but demanding royal schedules and Catherine’s cancer diagnosis last year led to delays. With the Princess of Wales now feeling better, the family appears ready to revisit the project.
While no further details about the renovation have been shared, the move signals a fresh step forward for the Wales family.
