Prince William’s Last Attempt to Reconcile with Harry Uncovered

Future king once reached out during Queen’s passing, but remains unmoved by brother’s overtures

Prince William once made a quiet but significant effort to ease tensions with Prince Harry, despite their ongoing estrangement — a gesture that has now come to light amid continued royal rift.

While the Prince of Wales remains deeply hurt by the revelations in Harry’s memoir Spare, published in January 2023, a report reveals that William extended a rare olive branch just days after Queen Elizabeth II’s death in September 2022.

Harry and Meghan, who had stepped down as senior royals in 2020 and relocated to the U.S., were in the UK when the Queen passed away. In a moment of unity, William texted Harry, inviting him and Meghan to join him and Princess Kate for a walkabout in Windsor to view floral tributes for the late monarch.

According to a Daily Mail source, the invitation was “last-minute” and “happened very quickly” as the royal family came together in grief. The public appearance was widely seen as a hopeful sign of reconciliation.

However, a more recent report from Heat Magazine suggests that any progress was short-lived. William is said to be “utterly disgusted by the scale of Harry’s betrayal” and has rejected multiple opportunities for renewed communication.

An insider claimed the future king believes his brother is “lonely” and “clearly lost” in his new life, but remains unconvinced of Harry’s sincerity. “He’s not being swayed by tales of Harry’s loneliness or half-baked olive branches that come his way every so often from Montecito,” the source added.

The once-close brothers remain distant, with William now viewing reconciliation as unlikely — despite that brief moment of hope during the royal family’s darkest hour.
