Royal supports anti-slavery initiative following claims Duke of Sussex has cut ties
Princess Eugenie has made a public appearance in support of a meaningful cause just as reports surface of a growing rift between her and her cousin, Prince Harry.
As co-founder of The Anti-Slavery Collective, the Princess of York visited Caritas Bakhita House, a safe haven for women affected by trafficking, slavery, or exploitation. The initiative shared the visit on Instagram, highlighting Eugenie’s hands-on involvement.
“We sat with the residents, listened to their stories, and learned about their lives and experiences,” the statement read. “There was also a fierce debate over the rules of Uno and eating.”
The post continued, “We are proud to support this grassroots organisation, which has been providing a safe haven for women since 2015.”
Caritas Bakhita House, in a separate message, praised Eugenie’s support, saying it “offers trauma-informed support, helping women begin their journey of healing and recovery.”
Her appearance is being viewed as a subtle yet significant message of independence and purpose amid claims of a personal falling out with Harry. According to The Sun, tensions reportedly escalated after Eugenie was seen socialising with Piers Morgan — a vocal critic of the Duke of Sussex.
While neither party has publicly commented on the alleged feud, Eugenie’s latest engagement appears to underscore her commitment to advocacy and her own path within the royal sphere.
