Monarch marks special milestone with King Charles during Italian state visit
Queen Camilla marked a special occasion during the royal couple’s visit to Italy, celebrating her 20th wedding anniversary with King Charles in an unexpected and heartwarming way.
While visiting a state school in Rome on Wednesday, the 77-year-old Queen was presented with a Margherita pizza—delivered in a takeaway-style box—as a lighthearted tribute to local culture and her big day.
Meanwhile, King Charles was given a ceremonial red-carpet welcome at the Villa Doria Pamphilj, where he met with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. The two were seen enjoying an animated conversation as they strolled through the 17th-century gardens, with Meloni, a fluent English speaker, engaging the monarch in friendly dialogue.
As the couple continued their third day in Rome, crowds gathered, calling out “Carlo” in admiration. Local media also showed keen interest in the royal arrival, particularly the distinctive claret-colored State Bentley used by the King and Queen.
